Overview:
I’m going to be honest, the last two issues ofAmazing Spider-Man have really been killing it! I love watching Peter figure out what in the hell is going on since Doc Ock has been screwing/improving thing in Parkers life. This book is 23 pages of complete awesomeness. In the last issue, the tie-in for Original Sin, left us with Spider-Man identity being revealed… or so we thought! This book picks up where we left of, and the lovely J. Jonah Jameson really messes up.
The Good:
Dan Slott’s writing is really top notch in this issue, and I’m not just staying that. For me, I feel like Slott is one of THE Spider-Man writers, and this first “record-breaking arc” just shows why he is perfect for the book. The script was great as well as the dialogue. There were some great interactions between Silk and Spidey that will leave you chuckling while reading. At first, I was not the biggest fan of Ramos, but he has really grown on me and I enjoy the style of his art. I really loved the twists and turn that this story had, it made it very difficult to guess the outcome.
The Bad:
I really can’t find anything I didn’t like about this issue.
The Final Say:
This wouldn’t be the best starting point, wait for next months book! But this has been a wild ride and a great ending to the first arc of the relaunched Amazing Spider-Man. It’s great to have the original Spider-Man back, and we really see why he’s such a great hero in this issue. This really is a solid 4 out of 4 for Amazing Spider-Man #6. Go out and pick this book up! You won’t regret it!
