Back in the early 90’s, producer/director Roger Corman (The Little Shop of Horrors – 1960, Death Race – 2008) produced a Fantastic Four movie that was plagued with problems and eventually shelved to never see the light of day. But some copies of the film got out and it quickly became a hot item at small comic conventions and stores.
Recently a couple of film-makers put together a documentary about the film, titledĀ Doomed: The Untold Story of Roger Corman’s “The Fantastic Four”. Check out the trailer below.
Now, I’ve actually seen the original movie. My little brother bought a copy at a comic convention and we’ve watched it a few times. It’s terrible. I’m sure you expected it to be, but trust me when I say that it’s the film equivalent to watching a puppy chase a ball off of a 10-story rooftop and being able to do nothing about it but thinking the whole time, “maybe he’ll land in water or on something soft?” But he doesn’t. He lands on concrete. Cold, hard, UNFORGIVING… concrete.
So yeah, this is a documentary I want to see.

If you’re interested in knowing more about the documentary you can go to their website for more info, and you can pre-order the documentary there as well.
