Stephen King is one of those authors I keep coming back to. After reading The Stand and ‘Salem’s Lot the summer after graduating high school, I was hooked. I went through a majority of his backlog from Carrie through the Dark Tower series on to his more recent Bill Hodges trilogy. His work, while often dark, explores the depth of human experience and gives some great insight into life, friendship, courage, and love.
